Gulf Coast Bird Observatory is an independent non-profit organization headquartered on the upper Texas coast. We are an innovative conservation organization, conducting avian conservation projects and distributing high quality information that will provide a scientific basis for the protection of birds. We fulfill our mission of protecting the birds and their habitats through research, land protection, outreach, and education.

Smith Point Hawk Watch is located at the Candy Abshier Wildlife Management Area, Smith Point Road, Anahuac, TX 77514. (Right after the turn for Hawkins Camp Road)
